atrete is strengthening its expertise in cybersecurity, cloud, connectivity, and data centers
Tim Stein and Mario Wagner are joining the consulting team, bringing with them many years of experience in security, networking, and infrastructure.
Tim Stein works as a consultant in the Cyber Security practice area. Previously, as a cybersecurity consultant at Grant Thornton Germany, he advised clients on ISO 27001 compliance audits and served as an external data protection and information security officer. Prior to that, as an IT Risk & Security Manager at PERI SE, his responsibilities included implementing technical measures in IT risk management, conducting internal audits, performing penetration testing, and supporting OT security projects.
Tim brings experience from companies in the industrial, construction, and healthcare sectors and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics. His areas of expertise include IT risk management, regulatory compliance, and OT and network security. His profile is further enhanced by certifications such as DGI IT Risk Manager, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist, ISC² Certified in Cybersecurity, and BAS Hospital Future Fund.
Mario Wagner joins atrete as a Senior Consultant in the Cloud, Connectivity & Datacenter division. He brings over 30 years of experience as a systems engineer, solutions consultant, solutions architect, and consultant on the service provider side. Most recently, he worked at Abraxas Informatik AG as a Lead Engineer, where he was responsible for the technical leadership of the “Customer Networks” team. In this role, he oversaw the implementation, operation, and further development of LAN and WLAN solutions for customers.
Prior to that, Mario spent about 24 years at Swisscom in various technical and consulting roles. Among other things, he worked as a solution architect on complex bids and developed technical and commercial solution concepts. In addition to his consulting work, he has been teaching network technology at the Center for Continuing Professional Education in St. Gallen for over 25 years.
Mario holds an MAS in Business Information Systems and a CAS in Information Security Technology, and brings extensive experience in the areas of network architecture, connectivity, and infrastructure.
