Simon Lackerbauer is the new Head of Cyber Security
Simon Lackerbauer has served as the new Head of Cybersecurity at atrete since January 1, 2026, and is responsible for the further expansion of the cybersecurity practice area.
He brings many years of consulting and industry experience in regulated sectors, particularly in banking, insurance, and healthcare. His previous roles included Assistant Manager at KPMG, CTO at inverso GmbH, and most recently Senior Platform Architect and Head of Site Reliability Engineering at Navique AG. In his roles, he has led numerous cloud transformation and greenfield projects with the highest information security and data protection requirements in AWS and Azure, as well as the design and implementation of internal control systems and ISAE 3000 audits based on the BSI C5 catalog.
His areas of expertise include comprehensive ICT consulting with a focus on IT security and governance, information security management systems, financial markets compliance, cloud transformations, and enterprise security architecture. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and has further enhanced his professional profile with certifications and awards such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, AWS DevOps Engineer, and AWS Subject Matter Expert.
