Successful IT Re-Sourcing at ITS Kanal Services AG

From the initial call for proposals to a successful transition – ITS’s IT infrastructure has been completely overhauled.

ITS Kanal Services AG is a leading provider of sewer and site services throughout the DACH region. With over 650 employees at more than 25 locations in Switzerland, the company offers sustainable and highly specialized services such as sewer cleaning, inspection, trenchless rehabilitation, and wastewater recycling. With its clear commitment to quality, modern technology, and a strong focus on the environment and infrastructure, ITS sets the standard in the industry.

ITS faced the challenge of finding a new partner for full IT outsourcing. To do so, the required services—including support services, operation of the core IT infrastructure, management of the M365 tenant, and IT security—had to be clearly defined and bundled into a professional request for proposal. In addition, ITS required support for the subsequent transition and migration to the new IT platform to ensure that the changeover could be carried out efficiently and within the planned timeframe.

The scope of work included the complete preparation and execution of the bidding process, including the definition of all technical and organizational requirements and the preparation of all necessary documentation. Based on this, a thorough evaluation was conducted and a suitable outsourcing partner was selected.

Working closely with the client, we defined all relevant criteria, prepared the request for proposal (RFP) documents, and conducted a structured evaluation process. Thanks to our close collaboration and consistent methodology, we were able to identify an ideal outsourcing partner.

In the subsequent project, we supported ITS as a technical partner and ensured that the transition and migration were completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The new IT platform was successfully implemented, including the rollout of new devices for all employees. In addition, we were able to reduce ongoing costs through optimizations in services and licensing.

The implemented solution provides ITS with a stable and well-integrated IT environment that makes day-to-day work easier for employees. At the same time, it creates a reliable technical foundation that supports future developments.
